Write a descriptive essay of an airplane (150 - 200 words). You have 20 minutes to do it. You can search the internet. Write it in a separate document and then copy and paste it here.
Remember to write down your surname and name.
Nowadays, a lot of people take planes for going somewhere in the world due to the fact that they are one of the fastest mean of transport in the world. In addition, they are comfortable and aparentelly noiseless.
Many years ago, when the first plane was made by the mid-20th century, the army started to use them for wars, missions or even to extinguish a fire.
A plane is divided into three parts: fuselage, which is the front part, tail, which is the back part made up of wings, and the place where the wings and the landing gear are located, which is the middle. Moreover, we can see in the front part the nose and the cockpit.
Talking about this last part called “cockpit”, we can say that is one of the most important part of a plane because the pilot is located there and from that part he can control the instrumental planel, flight controls, rudder pedals, overhead panel and side consoles.164
Finally, the third part we had mentioned previously was the middle part where wings are composed of aileron, spoilers, slats, flaps and jet engine, apart from the landing gear that is under the plane and is used for take off and land.
The McDonnell Douglas F/18 Hornet was designed by the USA and used by the the United States Navy and Marine Corps. This aircraft was also used by many other nations since 1986. Is one of the best war planes around the world with an awesome desing due to his aerodynamics and the capacity of carrying a wide diversity of weapons. The F/A 18 first combat was on Libya with the bombing of some infrastructures with excellent results. But the story of this plane was so brilliant that the creators of the Hornet dicided to desing another one with better characteristics, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, used by the Spanish Air Force. The designation of this plane to Spain was the C15 upgraded by the EADS CASA. The Spanish Hornet had better capacities as the AL 400 Radar Warning Receiver or the ASQ 600 Emision Detector being one of the best multirole combat jet of all times.

The Spanish Air Forces take care of the defense of our air
space everyday. This Air Force is formed by thousands of soldiers who work
together for making this task in an optimal way, but it couldn´t be posible without
the incredible aircrafts that our army has. The aim of this text is to describe
one of our air attack planes, which is the Mc Donnell Douglas EF-18 Hornet.
An airplane is a type of aircarft heavier than air, with two wings and which travels thought the sky.
The most important parts of a plane are the wings, the tail to stabilize, the engine to make it fly and the cockpit, which is the place where the pilot controls the instruments of the plane.
There are a lot of types of airplanes around the world. They can be civil planes to transport passengers and objects or militar ones used by the army. They can also be private jet planes or they can belong to airlines.
In conclusion, airplanes are a very important part of our modern society due to the big amount of applications they have, but they have also a very complicated structure that make them work correctly.

It consits of a small aircfat, which only holds space for up to two people. It’s design makes it a very maneuverable plane, great for acrobatics. One of the main characteristics of this plane is its nose, which is slightly lower than in other’s aircgrafts. The fuselage of this aircraft is considerbale compared to the rest of the plane. The C101 is also provided with ejection seats, necessary in case of an emergency or an accident.
To sum up, the C101 is a great aircraft, but due to its age, will soon be replaced in the Spanish Army.

Currently
at the AGA there are two aircraft with which students learn to fly, there is
the Pillán and the C-101. The C-101 is going to be replaced in the coming years
by the Pilatus.
The Pilatus
is a Swiss-made training aircraft, it is a turboprop. This aircraft is
considered the most advanced pilot trainer aircraft in the world. This aircraft
has been sold since 2008, its first buyer was the Swiss Air Force and since
then a large number of countries have decided to buy this aircraft. It has a
weight of 2,270 kg and a length of 11.23 m, its maximum speed is 685 km/h and
it can accommodate two people.
It is a
great investment by the government of Spain since the current C-101 are a bit
old, in addition the incorporation of these new aircraft will reduce the number
of flight hours that future pilots need to train, since this aircraft It is
much more current in terms of electronics, so it is more like the planes that
pilots will fly throughout their professional careers.
The Bombardier CL-215T/41 is an air force plane. Its main mission is to extinguish forest fires and participate in the support of Search and Rescue Service (SAR) missions. It works from the 43rd group, currently with 14 aircrafts. This unit started in Spain in 1991, but the first flight of the plane was in 1993.
It's characterized for being a hidroplane, that is to say that it can navigate, land and take off in the water. It is equipped with four gates for the water intake, this gates are really small, so no fish or object can get in as many people think.
Its dimensions are 19,82m of length, 18,6m width and 9m tall. Its maximum weight can reach 47.000Ibs. It normally goes at 140km/h and the airplane autonomy time is 8 hours.

Concorde is the first supersonic passenger-carrying commercial airplane, built jointly by aircraft manufacturers in Great Britain and France. The Concorde made its first transatlantic cross on September 1973, and it inaugurated the world’s first supersonic passenger service on January 1976.
However, the aircraft’s noise and financial losses due to the high operational costs such as the cost of fuel and maintenance of the aircraft led both airlines to end up with their routes, eventually leaving New York City as their only regular destination, making its last flight in October 2003.
Concorde had a maximum speed of 2,179 km per hour (more than twice the speed of sound), allowing the aircraft to reduce the flight time between London and New York to about three hours. The development costs of the Concorde were so big that they could never be recovered economicaly, and the aircraft was never financially profitable. Nevertheless, it proved that European and manufacturers could create complex airplanes, and it helped to ensure that Europe would remain at the technical forefront of the aerospace world.

Throughout history, humans have been able to improve the aircrafts systems in all their ways. As far as fighter aircraft is concerned, is a military fixed- wing aircraft which has been designed mainly for air- to- air combat. Such a this unique special fighter plane, not only include its high speed but also its firepower and tractable relative to the target aircraft.
Basically, the fighter's main purpose is to establish air superiority
over the battlefield. In fact, several factors as the skills,
discipline and focusing of its pilots are motives to the success or
failure of the mission. Furthermore, some of this fighters have sides
abilities. For instance, ground attack as well as fighter-bombers.
All in all, manipulating and airplane demand focusing on it and be able to face the distractions and unexpected situations. Otherwise, you may be risking your life.

The MCDonell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a twin engine fighter and attack aircraft, which has been used all over the world by numerous nations as one of their most lethal and useful aerial weapons, since the early 1980s. It is also flown by the US Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, which is called the Blue Angels.
The aircraft was designed to be very versatil, so it could be used in many different situations, that is the reason why it has been so popular along the years. It can only be flown by one pilot and it carries air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface weapons. The F 18 Hornet has been modified a lot of times in the past years, as a result it was created the F 18 Superhornet.
In Spain, the MCDonell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is used in Zaragoza, Canarias and Madrid.

The ENAER T.35C Pillán, referred as E-26 Tamiz, has its first flight in March of 1981. However, the production ceased in 1991 after 7 years but restarted in 1998. It was manufactured in Chile by the ENAER company and it was introduced in Spain in 1987. Used as an intruction plane and with a maximum speed of 445 km/h, this plane can support different acrobatics.
There
are different versions depending on the objectives of the flight or the
different situations in which they are going to be used for. Not only
did Spain obtain a version of this aircraft, but also did other
countries, suach as Panamá, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and República
Dominicana. Because of this, many improvements where made in the
instruments of flight, the navigation technology and security. In order
to keep improving and to be able to make future changes, the companies´
ingineers ask for feedback to those using it around the world.
Nowadays, it is believed that airplanes are all composed by the same parts, but there are many characteristics that differentiates them in order to be made for a certain purpose.
On these terms, the fighter plane that the Spanish Air Force has is the Eurofighter, which is said to be one of the most advanced aircrafts of the world, being part of only four countries forces.
Since 1985, this fighter has been part of the armament of Spain, composed by the wings, attached to the fuselage, the cockpit, which is placed behind the nose, and the tail that support the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. But these are some characteristics that all airplanes have in common, the one that makes the Eurofighter different from the rest is that it is the only modern combat aircraft to have others assembly lines, as the F-16 is only produced internationally under limited licenses.
To conclude, I would like to say that the experience of flying at more than 2400 kilometers per hour has to be mostly unbelievable and amazing and this can only be reached by this incredible aircraft.
